 Indian polity has seen several important movements throughout its history, some of the significant ones are



Non-Cooperation Movement (1920-1922) - Led by Mahatma Gandhi, it aimed to resist British rule through non-violent means and non-cooperation with the British administration.

Quit India Movement (1942) - Launched by the Indian National Congress, it demanded an immediate end to British rule in India.

Constitution Making Process (1947-1950) - The Constituent Assembly was formed to draft the Constitution of India, which established India as a democratic republic.

Green Revolution (1960s) - It was a series of agricultural reforms that aimed to increase food production and reduce dependence on food imports.

Mandal Commission Protests (1990) - It was a series of protests by backward castes demanding reservation in education and government jobs.

Anna Hazare's Anti-Corruption Movement (2011) - It aimed to create a strong Lokpal Bill to tackle corruption in the government.

These movements have played a crucial role in shaping Indian polit y and society.
